Empowering the Next Generation of Transformational Leaders

Message from the Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Dr. Nelson Makanda

At Africa International University (AIU), we remain steadfast in our commitment to developing well-rounded leaders who embody integrity, faith, and academic excellence. In line with this vision, I am pleased to announce the introduction of new graduate scholarships aimed at empowering passionate and deserving scholars who aspire to transform their communities through advanced studies.

Education at AIU is more than the pursuit of knowledge — it is a calling to serve, to lead with purpose, and to influence positive change in society. These scholarships reflect our deep belief that academic excellence and spiritual growth must go hand in hand to produce leaders who will shape Africa and the world for Christ.

Scholarships Available In:

• Any program offered by the Nairobi Evangelical School of Theology (NEGST)
• Christian Education
• Translation Studies

Who Can Apply?

The scholarships are open to prospective postgraduate students who demonstrate academic potential, a heart for service, and a clear vision for community transformation.

Application Requirements:

Applicants are required to submit:

• A 1,000-word essay outlining their goals, aspirations, financial needs, and how this scholarship will help them impact their community.
• Two recommendation letters — one from a pastor, and another from a lecturer, mentor, or community leader.
• A clear financial plan showing how they intend to meet any costs not covered by the scholarship.

Please note that the scholarship may cover up to 100% of tuition fees, though this is not guaranteed.
