Overview of the Scholarship

The Founders Scholarship, an initiative by Africa International University (AIU), emerges at a pivotal moment, marking two significant milestones: the celebration of 40 years since AIU was founded and the inauguration of Dr. Nelson Makanda as the new Vice-Chancellor. This prestigious scholarship is designed to empower and support 300 deserving students across Kenya and 150 International Students, symbolizing our commitment to educational excellence and leadership development on this dual historic occasion.

As we commemorate four decades of transformative education and embark on a new chapter under Dr. Makanda’s leadership, the Founders Scholarship aims to cover 50% fees for undergraduate programs (Fee Structure), embodying AIU’s vision for a future where every student can achieve their potential. This initiative is more than a scholarship; it’s a testament to AIU’s enduring legacy and its aspiration to impact society positively.

By extending this opportunity to students from every constituency in Kenya, AIU demonstrates an unwavering commitment to inclusivity, ensuring that the next generation of leaders is diverse, empowered, and prepared to tackle global challenges with ethical and innovative solutions. The Founders Scholarship is not just a celebration of our past; it’s a bold step towards a brighter, more equitable future, driven by the belief that education is the cornerstone of societal progress and development.
