Christian Leaders for Africa (CLA)

Over the course of a few days, AIU had the privilege of hosting Christian Leaders for Africa (CLA), a not-for-profit organization founded in 2002, with a vision to train Africans in Africa. The board and staff of CLA have been instrumental in developing US support for ongoing programs at AIU, including student scholarships, faculty support, doctoral initiatives, and capital projects.
During their visit, the CLA team, led by the board chair, Mr. David Holst, had the opportunity to minister in our chapel, where their inspiring words touched the hearts of our community. It was a time of spiritual enrichment and renewal, as we gathered together in worship and praise.
Moreover, the CLA team had the chance to engage with AIU’s governance, faculty, and staff, fostering meaningful connections and fellowship. These interactions provided a platform for sharing knowledge, experiences, and ideas, further strengthening the bond between the two organizations. The collective wisdom and expertise exchanged during these meetings will undoubtedly contribute to the continued growth and development of AIU.
One of the greatest blessings that emerged from this partnership is the direct and indirect impact it has had on the AIU community. Through the generous giving of CLA, numerous students have been able to complete their studies through scholarship opportunities. These scholarships have not only alleviated the financial burden on students but have also empowered them to pursue their educational dreams and become catalysts for positive change in their communities and beyond.
The AIU community acknowledges and expresses deep gratitude to God for this key partnership with CLA. We recognize the significant contributions made by the board members and staff in supporting our mission of providing quality education grounded in Christian values. Their commitment to training Africans in Africa has not only transformed individual lives but has also contributed to the overall growth and development of our institution.
As we reflect on the impact of this partnership, we are reminded of the power of collaboration and the strength that comes from working together towards a common goal. The support provided by CLA has not only benefited AIU faculty, staff, and students but has also played a vital role in advancing education and shaping the future of our continent.
In conclusion, let us extend our heartfelt appreciation to the board members of Christian Leaders for Africa for their invaluable partnership and unwavering support. May this collaboration continue to thrive, enabling AIU to fulfill its mission of equipping and empowering the next generation of African leaders. Together, we can create a brighter future for Africa through education.
Thank you, and may God bless the endeavors of Christian Leaders for Africa and African International University.
