Focused on transforming the world through research, teaching, and learning, Africa International University (AIU) was privileged to host a delegation from the University of South Africa (UNISA) to discuss potential partnership areas. Led by AIU Ag. Vice-chancellor Prof. Joseph Kiplang’at and Prof. Tennyson Mgutshini, Director of the School of Transdisciplinary Research and Graduate Studies (STRGS) University of South Africa, the team appreciated the need for a collaborative approach to strategically address gaps and opportunities in academia to holistically promote continuous growth and transformation in Africa and globally.
“It’s imperative that universities collaborate to ensure that the different strengths and ideas towards sustainable development are harmonized as solutions to the world’s different contemporary issues,” said Prof. Kiplang’at. Both AIU and UNISA have invested in areas of collaboration as one of the fundamental components of development and therefore, the two institutions are confident in molding partnerships that will translate value to the students and the society.
