The Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) programme intends to prepare candidates to become specialists in the Information Technology needs of modern businesses, especially at the middle levels of organizations. It is designed to meet the increasing demand in the work place for IT professionals with a wide knowledge of business management, technical skills and the capacity to offer support in the implementation of IT-based solutions in a business environment.

  • Goals of the Programme:
  • Equip students with Practical skills to develop systems as business solutions
  • Develop a coherent and broad-based coverage of IS and underlying technology to implement the systems in industry and business.
  • Enhance confidence and the ability to evaluate business IS requirements and develop solutions from model professional and technical perspectives.
  • Ensure the students are equipped with problem solving skills and can adapt to a fast changing technological world.
  • Prepare candidates for progression to higher levels of education notably to degree level.
