Impact: Journal of Transformation was established in 2017 under the auspices of the Institute for the Study of African Realities (ISAR), a school of Africa International University. Spearheaded by Professor Caleb Kim, the journal provides an academic platform for examining contemporary African issues through diverse scholarly voices.
It publishes peer-reviewed research across disciplines, including theology, linguistics, business, humanities, and the social sciences, reflecting the university’s commitment to rigorous research and community engagement. Initially released in print, the journal transitioned online after two issues and is now published biannually in May and December.
Contributors are primarily faculty and graduate students at Africa International University, alongside an increasing number of scholars from across the continent. Since 2025, the journal has operated under the Research, Innovation and Community Engagement Office (RICE) department directed by Professor Beatrice Warue.
We welcome all original, previously unpublished contributions that share the university’s vision and goals.
