Message of hope from VC

Greetings in Jesus Name!
The hymn ‘Because He lives I can face tomorrow’ is the basis of my encouragement to you today. It is because our Lord lives that we can face the coming days with confidence that our Saviour will see us through. Let us keep maintaining hope and checking up on each other in these times, upholding one another in faith. Isaiah 25:9 says, And it will be said in that day: “Behold, this is our God; We have waited for Him, and He will save us. This is the LORD; We have waited for Him; We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.” Indeed our salvation comes only from our God.

Faculty have continued to teach online and our second semester comes to an end this week. We plan to start the May 2020 semester online on 18th May 2020. This is not going to be easy for most students as well as some faculty, but these are unusual times and we have to adapt to such times. The learning materials will be uploaded on the university ODEL platform for online access by all registered students. We plan to have the semester 2 examinations for undergraduate, Diploma and certificate students done online in June this year. Details on this will be communicated by the Registrar (Academic Affairs).

I once again urge each one of us to keep maintaining social distance, wearing masks and practicing handwashing/sanitization. Kindly adhere to all the regulations from the government and the World Health Organization (WHO). Observe the curfews and be on the safe side of the law. Continue praying for the country, and the world at this time of uncertainty.

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen (Ephesians 3:20-21))

Best wishes to you and your families,

Prof Dankit Nassiuma
